Gus,
Our weaknesses need to be developed the most. Please work on the narratives.
You did add text to the site plan which helps explain some of your ideas. In general i like how you are tying the building and the landscaping into the neighborhood. Especially the space between the existing building, the dorm and the classroom wing will be a great amenity not only to the school, but also to the neighbors. The front entrance on the corner is not quite resolved yet and begs the question if the entrance pavilion shouldn’t be rotated to its own geometry reacting to the site forces, rather than extending the academic buildings’ geometry. The triangular green space between the existing retaining wall and your new wall is challenging. What should grow there? How is the geometry of the new wall resolving itself at the bridge and at the pavilion? The trees in front of the dorm are carefully placed. I would think the same amount of trees used as street trees along the outer edge of the sidewalk (30’ O.C. +/-) would give you a stronger enforcement of the idea of extending the existing building and its front yard landscape towards Mass Ave. the scallops meeting at the buildings corner might be a challenge in detailing… and the single repeat after the end of the dorm building is rather timid; could it extend and morph into a final front yard treatment linking to the pavilion?
Please describe your idea for the water catchment system as part of the building systems.
